Education

There might be a lot of issues that are going on in our government today like how people might not agree with what is going on with obamacare and how the Government has so called shut down, but what i think we need to take the time to do is focus more on education. In my opinion in todays times the United States is Falling far behind on education compared to all the other countries. Some people like to say that the way the economy is going is the reason people with a education can not get a good job, while other people say the lack in education and degrees is the reason that people are not getting good jobs. I think that the problem lies in both categories. Most of the High paying jobs that are out to the people require you to have some sort of college education to get that job. While most people complain that they cant get a job because of the extreme price of education and college now days. I think the government needs to compromise and create a better opportunity for kids to further there education and get a college degree without landing them in so much student debt when the get out of college. I also think we need to reconsider our staffing in certain areas of the country and be able to hire more motivated teachers to low income areas who are willing to teach kids who don't think they will be going to college. We need to hire some one the kids can relate to on a personal level and be able to inspire them to move on to the next level and better there lives and know it is not impossible to get a college degree.  If we can lower the price of getting a good college education and create a better learning environment for the younger kids than i think we can come a long ways in bettering our education system in America.

  1. The U.S has been falling behind other countries in education no doubt. I do not agree that you have to spend a lot of money to go to college or even get some kind of trade school. Community colleges have become more popular recently because of the low cost of tuition. There is also trade and vocational schools involved that also may not be expensive. Also higher paying jobs (not sure what is defined as a "higher paying job") are going to require you to get more college, but most people don't aim for high paying jobs, like doctors or lawyers which is what I see as a higher paying job. Most people aren't going to be the CEO of a company, doctors, lawyers, politicians as there are only limited slots for those positions and these jobs require people who go through vigorous training and excel in education. I also don't agree with you in hiring more motivated teachers as what really classifies a teacher as "motivated". Perhaps he/she may be "motivated" by the fact that he/she may get more pay if he/she worked in a low income area, but not necessarily be the greatest teacher. Lowering the prices for education is not a good idea. Many colleges in this economy adjust their tuition rates for inflation because of the falling economy.
One thing I definitely agree with is the government needs to provide more opportunities for anybody not just kids to further their education. Perhaps the U.S government can implement a trade school in high school instead of just general studies, so when a high school student graduates, they can find a job more easily. I also agree that the U.S should put education as important, and hope one day it is a priority in the political agenda.
