Education

There might be a lot of issues that are going on in our government today like how people might not agree with what is going on with obamacare and how the Government has so called shut down, but what i think we need to take the time to do is focus more on education. In my opinion in todays times the United States is Falling far behind on education compared to all the other countries. Some people like to say that the way the economy is going is the reason people with a education can not get a good job, while other people say the lack in education and degrees is the reason that people are not getting good jobs. I think that the problem lies in both categories. Most of the High paying jobs that are out to the people require you to have some sort of college education to get that job. While most people complain that they cant get a job because of the extreme price of education and college now days. I think the government needs to compromise and create a better opportunity for kids to further there education and get a college degree without landing them in so much student debt when the get out of college. I also think we need to reconsider our staffing in certain areas of the country and be able to hire more motivated teachers to low income areas who are willing to teach kids who don't think they will be going to college. We need to hire some one the kids can relate to on a personal level and be able to inspire them to move on to the next level and better there lives and know it is not impossible to get a college degree.  If we can lower the price of getting a good college education and create a better learning environment for the younger kids than i think we can come a long ways in bettering our education system in America.

The Environment

One thing that we can all agree on is the importance of the environment, and how it will affect us in the future and how it will affect our kids and the next generation. I looked at a blog that was discussing the environment and how it is currently being handled by the government and the obama administration. I do have to agree that the environment is a very important thing and that we need to look after it to keep up a friendly and clean earth. In the blog the author talks about obama and his speech at george town addressing that we need to leave a clean planet for our children. He put in action a climate action plan that addressed the rise in climate of our planet in the recent years and how to get the temperature down. Also he talks about carbon pollution and how we need to work together to help bring down the amount of carbon in the air so it doesn't continue to ware down the atmosphere.

Today on the 23rd the president put out a report on how everything was going with his plan. He addressed what was going on with everything and how everything was going according  to plan as far as cutting down on carbon in the air and making the environment cleaner.

In my opinion i think that the environment is a important issue but not the main one we need to be focussing on at this moment. I agree that what the president is doing can be very beneficial for the future of our kids and living on a clean planet, but what about all the other issues that are at hand as far as domestic and international policy s go. we all need to do our part in making the Earth a very enjoyable place to live for our kids but we need to make sure there is going to be a earth for our kids not just territories marked for war. In the end i think the author did a great job on reporting and writing her opinions on the issue of the environment and that did a good job on bringing it to our attention what the obama admin. is doing to help with the ongoing efforts to make earth a safer and cleaner place for our kids to live.

Obamacare?!?!?!?

In the editorial The Obamacare Bomb by the Washington Times the author talks about what a huge mistake and mess up that Obamacare is and how it will affect us in the future if we don't do anything about this. They do not give the name of the author but i have to assume that he or she is credible if they were willing to release this. Throughout most of the editorial the author gives negative points and very bad tasting reviews towards Obamacare and how it will affect the American people. He predicts that once out it will turn big businesses broke. He refers to Obamacare as giving the part time people the power. "A typical family of four with an income of up to $94,200 will get a generous subsidy for health insurance if the head of the house drops out of full-time work and becomes a part-timer." but to become a part timer one must sacrifice more money that is naturally coming into the household. A study was done by Casey B. Mulligan stating  "Obamacare incentives encourage Americans to become much less productive."
For one to look closer upon this and get more information about obamacare one must look at not only the cons of the operation but the pros as well. For the cons we have already looked at but the main one for small and big business is that with the enforcement of Obamacare companies are going to start shifting hard working employees to Part time positions in order to maintain staying afloat. Only due to the fact that because if a employee is part time than the employer is not forced to give them any healthcare benefits at all.
The pros of Obamacare are you can not be denied of healthcare because of pre existing conditions that you might have. it is open for everyone. You can not be kicked off of your parents healthcare plan until you are 26 making it cheaper for everyone. If discovered that you have a life threatnign disease then you will not just be kicked from the hospital anymore and you by law will not be dropped from you insurance plan. These are just some of the pros to Obamacare.
I agree with just about everything that the author has said in this editorial seeing as i do not support obamacare and think it is a breach of our rights, and is just the start of stupid things to come from Obama. But all in all i think the author should have thrown in a few positive points about Obamacare seeing as it is already in place and will be enforced soon. Many states are already planning and setting up exchanges.

Change in the Peoples

For everyone that know about the elections that took place in 2008, and 2012 then you know exactly how they went down. if you didn't know about the elections then let me tell you they were pretty much a landslide victory for the Obama Admin. With a close call in 2012 and a clear victory in 2008 Obama has been the favored winner of the people since he first started to run for president back in 2008, but has that all changed. It seems that the people have slowly not taken a liking to the popular president anymore and don't like  what he has been doing lately.
Fox decided to take a poll and see just how his popularity was doing on certain subjects such as foreign policy, domestic policy, healthcare, and other things. If you want to check out this poll than visit this link below. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/interactive/2013/09/09/fox-news-poll-voters-say-us-less-respected-since-obama-took-office/
The reason i choose this article to blog about is simply the fact that not only does it show what the people think now of the president but it shows how the average voter can change on his views once the president does. Most people think that once Obama was elected to his final term he showed his real face to the people because he did not have to worry about being elected once more or running another campaign. Others just believe that he is not making the right choices due to stress on what is going on in the world right now. Whatever the cause his popularity is slowly slipping and it will be interesting to see what he does with the rest of his term.

Government and ME

To some people out there government might not be on the high list of things that they are thinking about or being concerned about, but to me i am exactly the opposite. Hi i am Tanner Rockwood and i am a Republican who leans toward the right side by far but i still see things in the light of more liberal people and some non party people. The reason that i would say government and politics is always on mind is because where would we be without it and where would we be if in today age it just went away like a lot of people think it should. we would once again be in the dark and not as technologically  advanced as we are today.

A bit of my own political beliefs are that we should not have too much government and not to little. If we were to give the government to much power then we would all be giving up our own natural rights, and if we lowered the government, and took away what power they did have then like i said America might very well be lost unless we formed some new crazy type of government. I believe in the perfect amount of Government, the perfect amount of balance and i hope that our American government stays like that for many more years to come so we don't have to worry about as much like we are now.

Also on a comment of news and government i am not a very huge fan of any mainstream news station that is out there right now. I do watch fox news every now and then but if i want actual news that is not being over stretched and the story is being manipulated to whatever form that newstation wants it to be then i just watch the local news and read about the news from non baist stations and other blogs online.
